COVID-19: Important information for your entry into Spain Since July 1st, 2020, all travelers entering the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera) or mainland Spain must fill out a so-called FCS form for health checks before entering the country.
This form generates a QR code that you must present upon entry.
- Where can I get the FCS form? Please fill in the FCS form in the Spain Travel Health Portal portal.

This is available for iOS and Android.
However, we have already noticed that this app does not always run so smoothly.
To be on the safe side, simply fill in the data at home on your PC and also save your QR code as a photo/file on your smartphone.
- What personal data and information will be requested from me? Travelers must provide their last place of residence, any previous trips to other countries together with the length of stay there and the address of the finca, villa or hotel on the Balearic Islands or in Spain.
In addition, you must provide your first name and surname, full details of your permanent place of residence (home address) and other details from your identity card.
You can find a description of this on the Spain Travel Health portal. - What happens to my personal data? Well, unfortunately we don’t know what the data protection situation is either.
We have not yet found any further information or details on the registration page. - What happens now?
When do I get the QR code and what do I do with it? After successful registration, you will receive a QR code to your specified e-mail address or in the SpTH app, which you must present when entering the country at the airport.
Entry is not possible without this QR code.

This QR code is used to decide whether or not individual travelers will be randomly tested for COVID-19.
According to the Federal Foreign Office, the test is free of charge for you.
